Doveton 3 croyden city poms 2 :D we were cruising at half time 2-0, the boys
took their feet off the pedal  again :( and two quick goals from the poms made it 2-2  we peppered their goal after this and all our well worked moves came to nought after a stunning display from the poms keeper,
fair play, some stunning reactions ;) from close range!!!
The (very deserved winner) came with 3 minutes left from the ever reliable Glen Bristow who pushed the ball into the onion bag after intense pressure :D
Very tidy side Croyden City, very skillful on the break, but i swear to god the chopsy git up front got 3 yellow cards  the officiating was abysmal for the high quality game it was :(
I was one fucking number out on the raffle too :o $1000
What a community, what a club ;) 634 peeps counted today by stewards :D

Doveton cemented their second position in provisional league 1 (SE) with a
comfortable away win at Monash Uni ;) 0-2, ladder leader southern suburbs could only manage a draw away at Warragul :D (they've won their previous seven games and these are their first points dropped  we are now within one point with a superior goal average and growing confidence within the squad who have only been together for a short time ;) we, also are unbeaten :D
Next week see's us at home to Noble park united :shoot shoot2:  beer:

1) Lanky. I dont no whether to laugh or cry at you saying that "Thirds" could beat a Prov 1 (hell, even a Prov 3 senior) side. I take it you still playing 3rds? Trying to talk the league up. Mate, anyone who knows anything about football in this state no that a prov 1 side will win by none less than 10 goals against a 3rds side.
Example. You play for Monash i belive, Prov 1? Are you saying your 3rds would beat your 1's? Exactly, its bollocks, you're a clueless fuck.
2) melci. 5 Flares = $500 i believe. Rezza actually give you tops? Considering you just gave a poor porvvy league club a 500 buck fine, doubt they'd be to happy with you.
Hope you lads travel. HAve already played ressa away (no fans there), hope you come to our ground.

Oakleigh Cannons are all reserve fringe players, who havn't lost a game in four years. Waverley Wanderers and all experienced fit, older guys who know what they're doing.
Other central and metro teams are made up of ex-vpl players just wanting a kick on the weekend, so yes they can.

Southern suburbs 1 Doveton 3 :D another first half hat trick from Glenn Bristow saw off the table toppers with a brilliant display from the 'doves'
we harried and hassled them for every ball, they tried to bully the lads resulting in a few early cards for pythagoras, they were rattled for sure and 3
superb strikes from Glenn within the closing stages of the first half ended the contest really :D
Pythogoras came out with intent in the first salvo's of the second half and
scored a nicely worked goal within 5 minutes of the restart, the 'doves' regrouped and weren't really troubled again but the lads could have put a couple more in apart from crossbars, last gasp clearences etc.
We got a very stern telling off from this 18 year old sheila when the players
ran to us after our 3rd  as we ran towards them to celebrate, we didn't cross the touchline like!
We took pity on her and said ok, she hasn't seen them lose yet so we gave her the benefit of the doubt innit

I SAID WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE :D :D :D

No play-off for relegation in State 2.
State 2 down to Prov 2, Bottom 2 sides in each division relegated. Top 2 promoted.
But in State 1, bottom 2 sides relegated. Top side from S/E and top from N/W go up, with 3rd bottom in State 1 playoff against winner of playoff between 2nd in N/W, S/e. If ya get me?
Example, Thomastown finished 2nd last year in State 2 N/W.
They played off against Cranbourne, who finished 2nd in S/E.
Thomastown won, and took on Port Melbourme in playoff (who finised 3rd bottom State 1).
Port Melbourne won (on penatlies :() so they stayed up.

The old adage "a good side will play badly and win"
Dovey never really found their rhythm today, but a MOM display from big Boris
(in his new red boots :D ) was the difference, putting one away a minute before half time :D
Our coach 'Sammy' bludged two smokes off me before he went into the rooms
and gave the lads an allmighty serve :D resulting in an initial surge from the 'Doves' however the 'polski' pushed hard and had us on the back foot in the first 20 minutes of the second half and deservedly equalised 1-1 :(
It was the catalyst we needed ;) a free kick outside the left hand side of the box saw 'Big Boris' place a wonderfull free kick onto the bottom of the left hand post
Doveton regained their composure and went for the three points and 'Big Boris' recieved the ball from mussy (Mustapha Mustapha, Dovey boy  )
threaded a pin point pass beating their successful off side trap, he ran on, beat two defenders and slotted a beauty home from ten yards :D
Next week Warrugal utd away  2 coach loads of mad Celts taking over their boozers lol!!!! leaving from our club at 10am :D

Nils each at Rowville where they took on Croydon Arrows
High standard game, with Croydon having good possession but fluffing chances to score, and Rowville defending well but also failing to score on the counter
On a side note, Im sure the fans on the western side were all booked for cheering by a ref that was that card happy (maybe he got carried away with all the Yellow in a Brazil Australia game) but he was handing them out for fun
Next weeks game with him in charge will be played in the Maxwell Smart "Cone of Silence"

A tidy result for Dovey ;) haven't checked the table yet but i know we're 10 points ahead of 4th :D White Star are a good side they're a big strong team,
except for their right wingback who bore a striking resemblence to our own

You must feel hard done by to lose.
You had about 65% possession, but to be fair, we contained you, and i cannot recall one save by our keeper, nor one shot inside the box.
But in the seniors, i cant even begin to explain the implosion. It was a disgrace to blow a 3-0 lead. I wont say too much, never no whos reading an internet forum :p

Ill take all the credit :D
Your players have no confidence. Had us on the break a good 3-4 times, but no one had the confidence to back themselves, and take us on.

yeah i know, we are too scared 2 shoot. very frustrating watching it from defense. its funny how our first game has 11 goals in it n this 1 has 1 goal scored from pretty much the only clear cut chance of the game

:( Was such a crap game. I was standing next to Pasco Vale bench. Their (moreland) coach is retarded.... I appealed for a free kick which was right in front of me, and he starts trying to dispute it with me... WTF?! I wasnt talking to him. I am a spectator- dont get involved with me.
(I understand if I was abusing someone or whatever- but all I said was "thats a foul"- weird).
he also was constantly hanging shit on Paco's captain.
Very very unprofessional... then again, its 2nd div stuff. but you know. Never seen anything like it.
