Tall blonde guy ahha that guy is solid, wouldn't be out of place in the army that bloke.

We always miss simple chances it doesn't hurt us too much though cos we make plenty of them. Defence on the weekend was a bit out of a place, it should be proper once we get our best defender back for next match.

Croydon this week, should be a cracker :)

Funnily enough I'm playing Warragul in the GSL this week, which hopefully will make sure we win the GSL Second Division should we get the three points.

Actually did anyone see Morwell Pegasus (In State League 3 South-east I think) come back from 3 goals down at half time to win 4-3? Looked like a cracker of a match!

Frankston Pines will wrap up promotion and the SL1 title when they roll Coburg at Monterey this afternoon.
Frankston Strikers will do the same in SL3 SE with a win over Doveton at Ballam Park.
Football on the Peninsula is alive and kicking.
The plan is to watch the Pines before heading over to the Strikers juniors to catch the bus to the Dome.

what happens if the split in state league 2 of North/west and South/east, if say a geelong team and a altona team got relegated from Sate league 1 would the most south/east team in the Northwest state league 2 move to the Southeast State league 2

does that make sense
say Geelong and Altona get relagated from state league 1, then say if Clifton Hill was in the Northwest state league 2, then would they change to southeast state league 2 to even up teams

congrats to melb uni 3rds metro on scoring their only win of the season today.... against us... I was on the sidelines. was the best 3rds game i have seen in a while.

BLFC went 2-0 up then 2-1 then 3-1 at half time. BLFC choked sadly and let through goals after nearly 70 mins game was locked at 3 a piece. An 83rd minute strong header form a set piece saw the demise of BLFC for the season.

Great to see the Frankston Pines straight back into the VPL after smacking ST Albans 4-1. But most entertaining game of the final round goes to the Frankston Strikers v Nunawading City in SL3 SE. Without their star striker, and needing a win to wrap up the league, Strikers had two players and the manager sent off. Then the ref spat the dummy and walked off (replaced by linesman). Despite being reduced to 9 men, the Strikers then had a clear goal disallowed before scoring again in the dying seconds for a 1-0 win.

Crowd went feral during the second half. As it was, Fitzroy rolled the Eastern Lions and a loss wouldn't have mattered.

Disappointed Lyndale are in provvy 2 next year. Anyone from S/E provvy 2 this year? What are teams like etc etc? Anyone know if there is a large gap between Provvy 1 or 2? Some old fan from Brandon Park gave me his number after the Brandon Park game to call him about next year, I don't know if he's some random old pedophile dude or somone from the committee. Good to see Ashburton got promoted to provisional one s/e this year. I enjoyed doing a pre season with them this year, great bunch of lads and if they can hold on to their players they will challenge for state league football next year.Got a bunch of ex-Ashys down at Waverley Wanderers; Milly is a f'in star. Too bad he tore his ACL in pre season.

Any good state 2/3 teams in SE burbs? Anybody dealt with Clifton Hill before?

Clifton Hill got promoted to State 1; played against them this year. They were lucky to say the least. I liked the ground and the atmosphere there though. Far way to travel but it was not as far as Diamond Valley or Northcote.

Diamond Valley had by far the best facilities and pitch out of the lot in my opinion. Doncaster not far behind.

If you look at the quality of the ground, then look at the table you'll find that the trend is rather overwhelming. Templestowe, Heatherton, Northcote all horrible grounds and consequently horrid results.

What about Tempy Eagles (State 3 next year)

I wouldn't go there for the life of me; they were the worst team out of the lot, they were the dirtiest and have the worst ground I've ever played on.

You'd have to be something special to get into Clifton Hill (maybe ressies not so much, but being promoted will see an influx of players).
