Everton for me. What about you guys?

I also have an interest for Derby County in the Championship, because I used to enjoy watching them in the Premier League before they got relegated.

No particular team. Just go for the teams with Australian players. Because of this, I was leaning towards Leeds United a few years ago, but they've all left now and the team's been relegated, so bugger that for a joke!

Anyway, you've reminded me yet again that the EPL is no longer on FTA TV, so thanks for that...

I don't support anyone in the EPL either really. I pretty much keep an eye on the Aussie's playing in the EPL.

Though I do support Leicester City in the Championship, through members of my family living in that part of England.

Who's your English Premier League

There are four divisions of the English League if you hadn't noticed..

I was leaning towards Leeds United a few years ago, but they've all left now and the team's been relegated, so bugger that for a joke!

And off they jump when their team goes down! Admirable loyalty there.

Nobody here in Oz is going to support an English Premier League team that they will never be able to see on TV. The only chance you have of seeing your divi 2 & 3 teams is IF they make the last stages of the FA Cup.

So are we all bandwagon supporters if we don't support League Championship teams and below. Are you the only true supporter of english football there is. Sorry pal, but its alittle hard for me to support anyone else when my entire family comes from Woolwich, where The Arsenal originated, and also when your Grandfather played for them. He worked at the Woolwich Arsenal. He also played for Preston North End, of which I have an FA Cup runners-up medal, but its a little hard to be super passionate about them when I can only find out whats been happening via. the net. When I am in the UK, I will always try and watch a Preston game. Unfortunately we live quite a few thousand miles away, but that does not alter everyone on this forums' passion for the beautiful game, so get off your high horse you muppet!

I think he's suggesting the question should've been "Which English football side do you follow?", rather than being Premier League specific.

I'm a born and bred Arsenal supporter too, never had to follow a team in the lower ranks, but I would only have the one English side should we ever slide. Reading your passion, I'd assume if Arsenal copped relegation you wouldn't follow any particular PL side, only Arsenal in England.

Now you see what Supermercado is on about?

Lucan, it is the above statement that riled me up. If someone supports a Premier League club because it has Aussies playing for them , and those players then change clubs, I have no problems with these people. Its there choice, but at least they are starting to become interested in the beautiful game. I'm sure at some point they will then begin following a side more passionately and eventually support that team regardless of who plays for them. The Premier League is the big show, is televised down under, and has some of the best players in the world playing exciting football. Not many of the guys on here actually follow the bandwagon sides like Man U, which shows to me that Aussies aren't bandwagon supporters.

Yes I would follow The Arse, regardless of whatever division they played in, but then I have fairly strong ties to the club. I was going to games in the early 90's when we were a mid table club. Luckily since then we have been spoilt in terms of the football our club has played.

I think Supermerc's just questioning why there is a thread about what English Premier League team people support, when this is Australia. ;)
Correct me if I'm wrong.

However, as others have said, it's what is/was shown on TV here and is regarded as the highest level of club soccer by most. (You can argue the relative merits of Serie A and La Primera Liga, etc elsewhere.)

I've supported Chelsea since the 70's. My favourite player was Zola who I just loved. Now days its Frankie Lampard. Robin from the Netherlands who is still only 20 y.o, has a huge career ahead of him. I thought the game between the Blues and the Gunnars early this week had everything - one of the best games I've ever seen.

Madconvict
January 3rd, 2005, 07:59 AM
ICF was Westham's main hooligan firm...one of the top firms with Chelsea's Headhunters , Cardiff's soul crew etc....

still existing like alot of firms but very quiet since the big undercover police op's in the 80's..........

people talk up firms in australia but there don't really exist to the influential role of say Lazio's firm.

kevin_kyle

Yep they did Millwall over.
If Ferencavros are hooliganish the Millwall games could have been potentially pretty violent.
Were there any problems, I dont think I can remember hearing about it.
