I just bought the 2006 A League season in review DVD and wondered if anyone else has it and what they thought. Nothing came up in a search in the forum.

Firstly if you are interested, it's actually two DVD's not one. It doesn't mention that on the cover. I'd forgotten many moments from the games and it brought them flooding back (good and bad). The DVD also has behind the scenes type segments and i suppose the bits to do with the other clubs were interesting as i don't have Foxtel so i missed all that.

I also got the Sydney FC one. I was especially looking forward to the 5-0 game in Round 8. Guess what. Out of all the rounds in which they showed the highlights of every home and away game. Surprise, surprise they skipped Round 8!

All in all, professionally produced DVD's. The Season in Review is good value at 272 minutes. DVD one is the regular season and DVD two covers the finals.

They must think that acting as if it never happened helps remove all embarrassment and pain.

They skipped the Sydney game on the A-League highlights?

Thought he was just sayin for the Sydney one.

That's balls. I gotta get footage of that game somehow.

Yes i got the Sydney one as well, using a gift voucher i could get both. I must admit i was curious to see it and particularly for the footage of the 5 goals which i don't have. Who would have thought that they would be so fragile to leave that game out.

And yes, there's no footage of that Round 8 game in the Season in Review DVD either.

They had want to be better than the WC Qualifer one, that is absolute shit. They could have at least included both legs and some kind of extra features on it.

Alright I've decided that I must get the Sydney game from last year on tape or DVD somehow. I specifically remember highlights being shown on the A-League Highlights Show the week afterwards and have seen Archie's goal many a time since. Someone must have recorded it, Fox Sports must have it. I must get it and when I do I will put it on the net!!111one

My quest starts now!

Absolute shit is a bit harsh, after all it's the game you want on dvd and not necessarily any extras. Though you're right they should have put both legs on there.

At Borders in Carlton you can buy DVD's of lots of classic by-gone games. FA Cups, World Cup Reviews and finals, legendary players etc.

firstly, whats the you tube video of...i cant be bothered waiting for it to load (im still on dial-up)

and secondly to the guy searching for the round 8 match, good luck!!! from what i remember fox only used it as a highlights package so thats the best your gonna do...the game wasn't televised so they didn't have anyone commentating it, they just added the commentary for news and stuff, but the cut it up into that short package!!!

good luck on your quest though...i like everyone would like nothing better but to sit back and watch 90mins of us shitting all over the scum!!! even if it didn't have commentating on it, id much rather listen to the NT in full flight :D

The commentary was recorded in the post-production. Apparently, Fox Sports do have a DVD of the entire match floating around, but I strongly doubt they'll release it.
