Sydney FC v Perth Glory
WIN Stadium
August 6, 2006
The champions travel to Wollongong for their bonus round clash with Perth Glory at 5pm today.
Sydney FC will be without star Dwight Yorke who suffered a minor groin injury in training late last week, and along with Jacob Timpano, Jeremy Brockie and Ruben Zadkovich will not play today.
Manager Terry Butcher is pleased at the progress of his side so far, but will look for that killer instinct down in the 'Gong' today, where a sizeable crowd is expected to turn out, especially given locals Sasho Petrovski and Alvin Ceccoli will be in action.
David Zdrillic is expected to start upfront, with Alex Brosque in behind and David Carney and Robbie Middleby providing the width.
For Perth Glory the appointment of Ron Smith, the former National Technical Manager could not have come at a better time. Expect the likes of Leo Bertos to pose some threats for the Sydney defence, although the Glory back four will also have their work cut out today.

Fark orf.
- Apparently Sydney are taking 200 to Wollongong. Surely we'd be able to take more than that to, say, Geelong (though, I don't know the distances in comparison).

I hate to say this but, COME ON SYDNEY!!! :o Here's why . . .
Should Melbourne retain third position after Perth’s match against Sydney tomorrow, Victory would enjoy a home playoff at Olympic Park next Friday night.http://www.melbournevictory.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=4506&pageid=71

Alright idi0t...just coz only 200 said they were going on sfcu, doesnt mean thats all thats going tosser.
Eg. To central coast away we had 250 say they were coming on the website, we ended up with around 700 in the away cove, and probably 2000 overall Sydney fans scattered around the stadium

Brosque tore Perth apart tonight, we hardly got out of second gear and still won easily.

There were an easy 750 Sydney fans there, probably more but I was too busy watching our champions carve up another pretender without breaking a sweat to actually count them.
Bazza and Victory4sure are clearly the brains of the operation down your way.
