Ex-Espanyol coach Lotina mulls over Australia offer
tribalfooball.com - August 07, 2006

Former Espanyol coach Miguel Angel Lotina is mulling over an offer to become Australia's new national team coach.

Lotina received the offer via the Spanish Federation, which was contacted by Football Federation Australia officials last month.

The ex-Espanyol trainer is interested in the job, though has several club offers on the table also.

Lotina is currently discussing the move with his family and is likely to want to travel to Australia to check over facilities and backroom staff before agreeing to any contract.

If he accepts the offer, Lotina will take with him Eduardo Dominguez, his former fitness coach at both Espanyol and Celta Vigo.

Won the Kings Cup with Espanyol last season, and narrowly avoided relegation. He certainly isn't the biggest name that has been linked to the job, would be a choice out of left field if its true.
