The kid can play and is talented. Had a great season with Richmond. Though with Archie,Claudinho and Allsopp in the squad, would be pretty hard for him to get a spot in the squad.

The kid is a freak, he dominated games in the VPL against mammoth defenders at the age of 17....however as alen said, he wouldnt get a game at the present time with the current squad brimming with attacking talent.

From the one match I saw from him, he scored the only goal however he did not much else - we watched him for 20 minutes and he did not get a touch of the ball! Reminds me of Kristian Sarkies, deadly at times but invisible for the majority.

I would let him train along with the squad, he could learn alot from being around quality players (couldnt learn much of merrick) but it would be a great experience. I would give him a few substitute appearances in some dead-rubber type games, friendlies and when the A-league premiership is secure.

I have watched him on several occasions, he has a little bit of Harry Kewell in him, If he keeps improving I believe he will give the A league a miss and go straight to Europe, another season in the VPL I would say get rid of Allesandro and get him on the left!!

Sometimes I agree with your provocative opinions, but that is just crap. If anything, with his track record of developing youngsters into good players, he's BEST suited for that job!

You mean releasing them and then they turn out to be good players right?

Who did he release that turned out to be good?

Incidentally, I was referring to his VIS experience, but please, continue with what you're saying.

I want to know which star he let go?

I was talking about VIS aswell. I forget the players names but there were 3 of them that went on to play for the socceroos

I hear Ricky Diaco is now a billionaire with all these sponsorhips he's getting, and he'll soon be playing for Barcelona.

Alvaro Recoba does the same thing. Only difference is that Inter Milan value mavericks, we just call them 'inconsistent' and fill our national team with consistently crap Terry Mcflyn types.

They got us to the last 16 of the WC, and a bollocks penaly away from a WC semi final..

I think you seriously underrate the like of Grella & Culina. Being hard as nails, fit, strong and tall doesn't mean they are not technically very good.

I fail to see what the like of Kewel, Neill, Bresciano, Cahill and co. have got in commen with Mcflyn..

Nothing, he's just being a South bonehead who believes that one of their players is the best on the planet, and should be playing ahead of all the other talent on offer in the A-League, because of course, VPL is of a higher standard.

I'm talking about the national philosophy. I agree that it's good to have 'hard as nails' players, i'm a big fan of Gattuso. But what is disagreee with is making EVERYONE into a tough hardworking central midfielder, like we do in Australia, because you lose subtlety and creativity and you don't develop any number 10's cos they're too busy tracking to think about creativity. Let the Grellas and pantas of this world be nutters, and tough, cos that's what they're good at, but don't force Nick Carle and Kristian Sarkies to do the same. You wouldn't force Grella to create around the 18 yard box, so why force Carle to track back to the penalty box? let each do what they're good and natural at. Let some be 'tottis' and others be 'Gattusos'.
