4 me he hasnt had the best start, but will come good. He will always be a great distributor of the ball, but was a classy player when at club brugges before being hampered with knee injuries for the rest of his career. At the time of his prowess he was arguably the best player Australia ever produced. World Youth Championships, he was one of the reasons why we made the semis.

I think Newcastle just bought him because of his name and nothing else.

I think Newcastle just bought him because of his name and nothing else.

And now they are buying Stan Collymore. What a joke!

His first few games weren't much, but he was OK against the scum.

It's not his fault that the entire team around him are terrible. Newcastle don't have a defence and Okon isn't really a centre-back. If they're going to play him in defence they need to play him as a sweeper with two big-tackling players in front of him. No one else is working with him. Newcastle are a rabble!

He's atrocious defensively. He can still place a pass on a $5 note almsot anywhere on the pitch - but when you're playing centre-half that doesn't count for a lot when you're leaking goals.

In his first 3 games alone he was directly responsible for 3 goals conceded (no one else). Let alone another last week.

Round 1 against the Knights he was good but thats been about it

Is that foot injury or whatever it is hampering him perhaps?
