They arent choosing any a-league based players, dickhead.

Maybe so, but Griffiths is based in Europe and it is therefore a lot more practical for him to be in the squad.

Danny or Archie would face 24hr flights midweek. No real surprise to see Ryan get called up.

they were never selecting any a-league players, this was always a european player friendly....tell me you would want archie sitting on planes for 48 hours to get there and back??

What a stupid thing to say Allsop (can't even get his name right ).

Arnie made it clear he'd be selecting only European based players, so what's the fuss?

yeah he is, there is also Joel Griffiths (newcastle) and Adam Griffiths (defender, players for brentford i think).

Rapid are in the UEFA cup at the moment and are doing well in their league.

He's not. Any cunt that misses a goal from 14 centimetres out isn't a strikers arsehole!

i think Ryan Griffiths is a poor inclusion into the squad...why nt look at those young players you were talkn about...give them a shot...

I'm not too sure, haven't really read that much on how he's been going, but i don't think he's been starting to often so we'll have to wait n see. theres others i would of prefered, but this is probly alright.

Dude, learn to read........

There are no A-League players in this squad whatsoever. It may be a different story for Febuary when we play Denmark, but this is a purely European based squad. With McDonald and Viduka out to injury, who would you have taken instead?

My pick would have been Davey Williams, but I never get what I want anyway.

I understand that but that doesnt make it right that there isnt any A League players just because Arnold says.Thompson helped us get that goal against Paraguay by drawing the free kick and up until then we didnt look like scoring.I stick to my point that Arnold has got no idea.

We all know what happened when we last played an all european squad.Need i say no more.Thompson at the very least should have gone.

kewell10 ... you are really sssssssssssllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooowwwwww ....

Do you not understand that not including A-league players is not an Arnold decision? It is a decision made by everyone in light of Australian interests! Why would you fly someone from Australia 48 hours within a few days for a friendly when there are European-based players available?

You've got to remember that this is a "short" version of international break, it is literally 2 or 3 days. This is different to last month's, when there were 2 international dates and therefore the players could be with their national teams for more than a week!
