The offical Select A-League cards apparently got realeased yesterday, they were giving away a whole set plus the limited edition Signed Mark Viduka card to the best caller on the Locker Room after the Victory game. Sold in all Newsagents and Hobbie card stores. Wouldnt mind getting my hand on the Victory Cards.

Cost me $120 but as I said, I got two complete sets plus the autograph card and Socceroo inserts. I'll keep one set mint for myself, sell the other on eBay and then just buy the individual inserts I need to complete the entire set.

Card are never worth as much as people think they are. I've seen so many people brag about the worth of their "rare" cards which in the end are sold for $5 at most places. Good luck if you can find someone willing to pay $50 for an aleague card though;

You should see the box of Premier League Gold 98 Cards I got from the local market for $10. absolute class.

Got Vinnie Jones at Dons, Musky at Palace, Slater at Saints.

Even managed to snag Eric Cantona 'Au Revoir' and Alan Shearer 'Top Goal Scorer Ever' inserts!

Got a couple of packs for my son, he loves them, I remember collecting afl cards when I was little, and they had this puzzle on the back, that you needed the whole set to complete. Bloody great fun for kids (even though obvious consumer sucked in ploy), might start using it as a bribe to get him to do chores and stuff.
