MELBOURNE twins Alex and Luke Antonopoulos are ready to take Scotland by storm.

Both will trial with Glasgow giant Celtic in the hope of landing a contract with the Scottish Premier League leaders.
Alex, 18, captains South Melbourne reserves while Luke was the team's leading scorer.

The twins trialled with Celtic two years ago but were too young to sign on and have been invited back.

"We went to England and a guy referred us to Celtic for a trial, but at 16 we were a bit too young," Alex said. "Basically, 1 1/2 weeks ago we received an email from Scotland and it said, 'Hey guys, you're 18 now, why don't you come back for a trial?'

"We just want to give it our best shot and hopefully we can turn the head of (Australian youth teams coach) Ange Postecoglou."

Luke said he and his brother will be put through rigorous fitness tests.

"That's why we're training here doing beep tests, 20 metre sprints, vertical jumps, things like that," Luke said.

"What we have to do is compete against the players they've got. And what they've got are very good international players.

"We just have to make sure we're in peak physical condition when we get there and that we're in the position to get selected at Celtic."

South Melbourne coach John Anastasiadis said the pair would raise eyebrows.

"For them, I think it will be a sensational experience just trialling there. There's no reason they shouldn't impress," Anastasiadis said.

Seconded, and surprised Trelos hasn't got here first of all of us.

De Nittis from South Melbourne had a blinder during the finals, scored 3, and set up the 2nd goal against Gully in the 3-0 in the finals, and scored a ripper against Preston early in the season.

I didn't mind 'Colonel' Sanders from Gully, is he in that age bracket though?

Some Preston fans have big wraps on their young keeper, can't remember his name.

Groenwald who got a few games at the Bergers this year is still very young, looked ok to me on tv.
