QLD have NEVER beaten Adelaide in a league game so far in the a-league. They are beginning to struggle without a win in 3 matches. On the other hand, Adelaide have won 4 of their last 5 - so their form is good.

I was surprised to see no Nathan Bruns or Qu in the squad!? And I dont know where Bobby Petta is....? Anyone.....?

It dont think it'll be an easy game for Adelaide, they wiull have to be very wary of QLDs attacking players like Simon Lynch, Milicic and Zhang.

Odds: QLD 2.70, Adelaide 2.40, DRAW 3.25.

My prediction.... 2-2 Roar will bounce back, but not enough to snatch the 3 points.

Five mins: Queensland have started brightly with Adelaide just beginning to come into the game. Miron Bleiberg has chosen to tinker with his team's formation tonight, and it will be interesting to see how this affects the outcome of the performance.

I have a sneaking suspicion that hardly any chants are particularly original, recycled the world over, perhaps tweaked a bit, or reworded....


Just before the US scored in the second half, it sounded to me as if the Mexican's had begun whistling their team (I may be wrong). The Sam's Army section picked up another 1-2 dozen people for the second half as people saw where we were during the 1st half (but I'm sure we were so small you couldn't hear us on TV). When we scored, all hell broke loose. Sammers went nuts and only three beers came raining in (one from across the player tunnel, one from the section next to us across the aisle and two from behind). We bounced the Ole, and added in the local favorite "We're so good it's unbelievable". And that's when I noticed that the stadium was cheering Ole for US possession passing (not very loud, but audible enough for me to realize what was happening). Clint scored in the net in front of us but ran to the south-west (we were in the south-east). Oh well. When the players left the field, nearly all the Yanks gave a hearty thanks/applause (unlike the Rapids) to all the Sammers as they entered the player tunnel.

that was so frustrating...QLD are for the tip & will struggle to make the top 4.....it all changed at half time when Bleiberg took Seo out of the midfield where he was best on pitch & looked like scoring, to play as a stopper on Rech, the Roar had no link between midfield & up front...you can have 300 strikers, but you need a midfielder to link them together.....:mad:....
