Brazil was too good for Argentina winning 4 -1 (2-0).
Two goals to Adriano also gave him the golden boot and one goal each to Ronaldinho and Kaka set up Brazil for a comfortabe win.

Will anyone be able to challenge Brazil in the WC?

The first two goals were simply unstoppable...that was Brazil at their best....but the last two goals could have been covered better by the defenders....Argentina were just outplayed

To think the last time we played it was 3-0 at the other end of the scale...

WC2006 Looks promising for Brazil - but I still think a European team will be able to knock them off...a team that can shut down the space they have to work in, someone to slow the game right down... Im thinking an Italy or a France might give them a run for their money, but no team in the world could have beaten Brazil this morning :mad:

Italy won't win. The team overall is "soft" in my opinion. I think they take themselves to seriously. Honestly think back, if you can since the WCUSA the first i can remember giving a hoot about.
Each time they have been one of, if not the most talented team, yet have not got the results they needed against opposition they should beat.

No.
IMO, they can win it.
Adding Crespo and Veron to their team helps. (adds a bit more class).
I think they were unlucky this morning.
Thought they played decent football.
Got done twice by beautiful unstoppable goals.
The other 2 were poor marking however.
I don't think they are too wide of the mark :cool:
