---Edit--- Yes i know i have spelt New Zealand wrong, can a mod please change it ---EDIT---

I was just think why is there a New Zealand team in The A-League?

its pretty dumb having a New Zealand team in the A-League because its like having Celtic in the EPL.
and it is called the A-League, it should just have Australian teams in it.
i dont think any other Leagues in the world has a team in there which aint from the country.. i could be wrong tho.

You are wrong :)
There are some Welsh teams (including BlueDragon's Cardiff City) that play in the English leagues.
I'm sure there would be others as well.
Too be honest, who cares if we have a team from NZ.
It doesn't detract from anything.
Just means we can't really travel to one of our away games each year.

Cardiff and Swansea City are both welsh sides in the english leagues. Its good, gives the league another dimension and the teams are always rivaled as well.

Copa America often has a team that doesnt belong to that continent. It is a way of helping other countries to develop the sport.

I'll reserve my judgement.

If KFC are a success then well done to them.

If they aren't, then it will prove to be a bad move.

I was in NZ in late December and January and the amount of positive football coverage over there makes Australia look like England (well not quite, but you know what I mean...). The game was pretty much non-existant.

I don't mind the New Zealand team. It's good to have a team from NZ to get them involved in this (potentially) great league. The Knights seem to be struggling a bit though.

The Knights have potential to well up alot of support (the (w)hole of NZ). That's why FFA chose them, certainly not because of the Kingz record.

Is Corsica a principality? Just wondering.

I think they relise it isnt big in New Zealand.

I heard the coach state he is concentrating on Auckland rather than the country as a whole.

Two, Keiran :) NZ and Perth would probably be equally out of reach for many Victory fans for an away game. (Oh, unless you don't have a passport)

Wrexham, Swansea, and Cardiff are the Welsh teams I can think of that play English League Football. Corsica is French for whoever said so. What league do they play in?

I know they're French. But like Monaco is it a principality?

The only team I can think of from Corsica in the French league is Ajaccio, I'm sure there's another one.

Agreed.

A little birdie told me that in Tassie they've been put off football by Martine Delaney.

Bastia is the other one. But Corsica is officially France.

Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and Methyr Tydfil (sp) are all in english leagues.
Berwick Rangers are an English team in Scotland.
Leictenstein teams play in Switzerland.
San Marino teams play in Italian lower leagues.
The list goes on...
