FC United of Manchester played their first ever match this morning (our time).

*It was a 0-0 draw against Leigh RMI, played in front of thousands of fans at Leigh's home ground.
*FC United's keeper, Barrie George, had a sensational game by all reports.
*Both clubs took a 50-50 share of takings from the match.
*A streaker ran on the pitch.

***EDIT - The title of this thread was supposed to be F-C-U-M (FC United Manchester), but the fu*king censorship wouldn't allow it.

To be as magnanimous as I possibly can 0-0 with a team in the Conference when you're a hastily assembled Amateur rabble a few divvies lower is actually pretty good.

Leigh RMI used to have an Aussie playing for them. Jon Brady. Remember him? Neither do I.

Did Malcolm Glazer buy the whole of English football?

Err... no.

The problem isn't just with Glazer (although that's a big part of it).
- A lack of 3pm kick-offs
- No standing allowed
- Ridiculously priced tickets
- You can't stand, sorry, sit with your mates
- There are probably more reasons...

I can't see what your point is.

FC Utd were playing their first game. Chelsea have been playing for a hundred years

FC Utd are in the NW Counties League. They drew 0-0 with a Conference team.

Chelsea's squad is worth up to half a billion pounds. FC Utd had a trial day to select their squad.

FC Utd are a bunch of amateurs. Chelsea are up with the best in the world.

Youy cannot make comparasons between the two, mate.
