    In no paticular order...

    WC 2002

    - Beating the poms in a scartch match in Sapporo prior to the Italy v Ecuador match.

    - Arrested in Oita prior to Italy v Mexico for lighting a fire cracker. Interrogated till 6am. The next evening at the game, we looked up to the top of the grand stand to see all the officers form the night before lined up keeping a watchful eye over us :)
    - Getting lagged into the cops by the Yakuza in the first place.

    - My 24th birthday at a typical Jap Karaoke bar.

    - Filming a documentary for Korean TV prior to the Korea v Italy match. The doco was shown across the country the next morning. In the process we played a match against Daejon University. We lost 2-1 after a big night on the pi$$.

    - Plenty of other stuff but this is a G rated forum isnt it? :)

Why does everything come back to the vile gases and substances that emerge from your backside.

    Cool World Cup Diary

    9.40 pm Friday, 26th May 06
Well, I have started 7 weeks long service leave, and spent the day doing little more than recover from, and soaking in, last nights Greece game. The socceroos journey has begun.
    I got a few tickets, and get on an Emirates flight next Saturday night, and my journey will begin;
London, Berlin, Ulm, Mannheim, Keiserlalutern, Munich, Stuttgart probably Kaisersautern, hopefully Hamburg, Dortmund and who knows, maybe even Berlin again ((or Amsterdam) before flying from Frankfurt into Glasgow to visit the relies before finally flying home via London again.
    Destiny?
    I hope so.
To all the boys from the MVFC that are going (Vicnut, Daims and the rest of you), see you there. I just thought it would be a good idea to use this diary to keep in touch with each other over there, and share our experience with those we left behind.
May the force be with us.

I've been to cities that never close down,
From Berlin, to Bahrain & Montevideo,
    But no matter how far,
    Or how wide I roam,
    I'll still call Australia,
    I'll still call Australia,
    I'll still call Australia, home.

    Cool Pines v Richmond

    6.00 pm Saturday, 27th May 06
Well, watched the Pines v Richmond. No sign of any elite neo-nazi ultra hooligans. Watched a dire struggle between two very average sides in the grand scheme of things. 1-1.
At least the sons U7s won at last. The new coach is a genius.
    Bring on Kaiserslautern.

    Cool Last chance for tickets!!

    8.57 am Sunday 27th May
Received this email from the team at FFA (Fuck the Fans of Australia) travel, on Friday morning, and did as I was told:

    Dear Sucker,

Due to FIFA ticketing personalisation deadlines, the final allocation of FFA Travel's additional tickets must be completed by this Friday, 26 May.

These tickets may be obstructed view or single seats at the end of rows for individual games.

In order to meet this deadline, FFA Travel applicants that have been unsuccessful to date will need to update your Member Profile Page to indicate if you are still interested in FIFA World Cup tickets should they become available.

Please note this email has NOT gone out to every unsuccessful applicant in the queue or is in any way a guarantee that tickets will be available.

To update this information (click here).

Payment details and the update of your application must be completed by 12pm midday this Friday, 26 May. FFA Travel will then process them throughout the weekend & you will be informed if you are successful by May 31 at the latest via email. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.

    Please note:

    1. Tickets must be collected by each individual in Germany with photo ID as we do NOT send tickets out in Australia.

    2. All final collection information will be provided to successful applicants on May 31 by email.

    3. Tickets are non-refundable & non-transferable.

Please do not call us in relation to this final allocation as all information can be found here (click here).

Thanks again for your support & good luck (fuck you and the horse you rode in on).

    Kind Regards (Fuck you),
The Team at Fuck the Fans of Australia Travel

Once again, this mob have my hopes up of getting a ticket to the Brazil game, only to no doubt leave me feeling disappointed and angry. I love the 'Please note this email has NOT gone out to every unsuccessful applicant in the queue or is in any way a guarantee that tickets will be available' and 'unsuccessful applicants will not be notified' bits. This mob are really trying to test me. Having said that, if they give me a ticket to go with the one I have for the Lichtenstein game I will love them big time (actually, no I won't, they are a bunch of c*nts)...

I am continuing to torture myself on the FIFA ticketshop website, but this looks increasingly unlikely. I will (must) persist.
I am also on the conditional ticket program, but that is starting to look like I merely loaned FIFA 125 Euro until the end of August.
Am also monitoring ebay, but tickets are selling at obscene prices ($1,500!?!?).
Anyway, last game this week for the Pines Old Boys is today against Croydon. I will be going for a RED card late in the game to add to the Yellow I got last week at Phillip Island (I am off for five weeks anyway), and am genuinely expecting to get our first win. Drinking copius quantities of bourbon at yesterdays Pines v Richmond game probably wasn't an ideal preperation, but I have had a big fried breakfast, and am ready to rock & roll.

Yeah I got that email from the FFA on Friday too. 4 hours after the deadline for updating my account and giving them my payment details again so I won't get any joy out of them.

I mean what absolute w@nkers they are to send an email out at 4.30pm on the afternoon of Australia's first home match for 7 months. This is when most are at work or for those going to the game are travelling interstate or just leaving for the ground. They then only give us until midday the next day when people are again at work, travelling or hungover to give them details we have already given them!

Seeing as they are tennis fans in London getting ready for Wimbledon they probably don't give a shit though.
